Historically, this water has crowned the estate's glory and was the leading mineral water produced here. Originating from a natural cave, the Sant'Elena mineral water is renowned for its smooth and silky taste, making it an ideal companion for fine dining experiences. Its health properties, including the famous ability to break kidney stones, have gained recognition and praise from both locals and visitors of Chianciano Terme. With a limited amount of this water available, Sant'Elena forms the cornerstone of our company and defines our history.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

The presence of bicarbonate and sodium in Sant'Elena gives it its unique pH of 7.4, identical to that of human blood. This creates a harmonious, complementary interaction with the body upon consumption. Most famously, Sant'Elena is known for its ability to break kidney stones. This property arises due to the concert between its alkaline pH and the presence of calcium and magnesium, which inhibits kidney stone formation and supports their removal. Sant'Elena may also stimulate liver cells and enable normal liver function through its alkaline pH. Other therapeutic effects include eliminating uric acid (helps gout), alleviating digestive disorders like dyspepsia, and preventing urinary tract infections.

The smooth and harmonious composition of Sant'Elena makes it a perfect companion for a healthy lifestyle, including hydration for sports or an active lifestyle.

Fine Dining

With a delicate mineral character, Sant'Elena is a refreshing and delightful mineral water. The balanced mineral character gives it a crisp, smooth but also soft and velvety mouthfeel. Because of its slightly alkaline nature, Sant'Elena provides a slight hint of sweetness in its taste. Overall, this water is often described as balanced, crisp and refreshing, giving a smooth and earthy mouthfeel to top it all.

Recommended Food Pairings

The total dissolved solids tell us the number of minerals in the water. Compared to other mineral waters that contain 250-800 mg/L, Sant'Elena falls perfectly into the medium-minerality range.

The presence of bicarbonate and sodium in Sant'Elena gives it its unique pH of 7.4, which makes it slightly alkaline and gives it a hint of sweet flavour. The alkaline pH, in addition to the presence of magnesium and calcium, helps to exert kidney stones by inhibiting their formation and creating a more alkaline environment.

Scientifically speaking, Sant'Elena is a hydrocarbonate-alkaline earth mineral water.

Marzia natural mineral water is a more recent discovery at the water source and it embodies our vision of the future.
